HAPPY SELF AND SOUL CARE SUNDAY….It's something only you can do for you......

HAPPY SELF AND SOUL CARE SUNDAY….

Yesterday I wrote about the energies that may be affecting your daily routine. Our world as such doesn’t really believe or understand these energies yet/again. It’s often thought of as piffle or pseudo-science. We can say that this is just the latest thing that has to be re-established in our world just like germ theory in the 1800’s and even the power of electricity in the early 1900’s.

My point is that your energy needs care. Just like a plant or garden need care and attention, you do too. You need fresh air, food, water, and more – your fertilizer which is your self care. It doesn’t matter if it’s books, drawing, painting, dance, bowling, dominoes or jigsaw puzzles just as long as your self care you do often and regularly.

You do for everyone around you more than likely. That’s how we’re taught. The other side of that coin is that you are being selfish if you care for yourself! You are neglecting others if you care for you. Over 20 years ago I suffered a significant breakdown because I followed the old formula of others. I’ve watched many women and some men give and give and give until they give out. It’s what’s been taught to them. Many of us have followed that lead.

Today and every day I hope you take a few minutes to hours for filling you and your energy up. Recently I’ve had another friend to die too young. Over the last several years, I’ve had so many friends and relations to pass over. I still remember the day they told me my brother Billy had died of a heart attack at 50 as he was riding his motorcycle home.

Taking time for you to exercise, play a few hands of cards, dance to old tunes you love, or paint a picture isn’t selfish. It’s taking care of you!

We only have so many rounds we get to go on this blue ball as the person we are now. Take some time for you to enjoy it. Play like a little kid if that makes you feel good. I was in my mid 40’s and went upside down on the bar when my girls and I were walking.

KEEP moving. The body needs it and our hearts are lightened by it too.

One of my favorite things is the 5:30 Waltz on the Classical Station. From another life and lifetime, I do love a good waltz to this day. Whether I’m driving or at home, I enjoy listening to that daily waltz. Sometimes one of my favourites plays which is an added bonus.

Okay, that’s enough for today now we can fill our cups….Enjoy!!!!!
